Experts Agree Hormone Replacement Is the Key to Relief of Menopausal Symptoms
The experts all agree bioidentical hormone replacement therapy is the safest and most effective treatment for women suffering the most debilitating symptoms of menopause.
For many years, there has been controversy and confusing information about the safety of hormone replacement therapy for women going through menopause.
Primarily there was a lot of misinformation going around that hormone therapy for menopausal symptoms could increase the risk of breast cancer.
The debate got so big and so much press that many women became afraid to have hormone replacement therapy.
The controversy arose primarily due to a study known as the Women’s Health Initiative (WHI), which found that in some cases, some women on hormone replacement did show an increase in breast cancer.
However, those conclusions were drawn nearly 20 years ago — in the time since, further research has found that the WHI was largely flawed.
Today the evidence is clear, and the experts agree that women have no reason to avoid hormone replacement therapy to treat hot flashes, night sweats, mood swings, vaginal dryness, and the other incapacitating symptoms of menopause.
In fact, three of the foremost organizations on menopause and women’s health recently issued a joint statement to that effect.
The statement by The North American Menopause Society, the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, and The Endocrine Society clearly confirmed:
“that most healthy, recently menopausal women can use hormone therapy for relief of their symptoms of hot flashes and vaginal dryness if they so choose.”
The statement concluded, “Medical organizations devoted to the care of menopausal women agree that there is no question that hormone therapy has an important role in managing symptoms for healthy women during the menopause transition and in early menopause.”
The most recent research into menopause and hormone replacement also backs up the conclusions of this landmark joint statement.
A 2020 study published in the Journal of Menopausal Medicine found that
“The most effective menopause treatment is hormone therapy, which is also effective in preventing osteoporosis.”
This study went on to conclude that “Hormone replacement is an effective therapy that offers more advantages than disadvantages for women aged less than 60 years or who have had menopause for less than ten years.”
In addition to the benefits of hormone replacement to treat the menopausal symptoms mentioned in the joint statement and these studies, there are additional benefits to hormone replacement for women.
Doctors now know that hormone therapy for menopause can also:
- lower the risk of osteoporosis,
- increase libido and sexual satisfaction,
- and decrease feelings of depression and anxiety cases,
- reduce the risk of Alzheimer’s disease, heart attack, or stroke.
Hormone Replacement Is the Safest and Most Effective Treatment for Menopause
There has been a lot of controversy about the use of bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (HRT). Many of the myths and misconceptions about the safety of BHRT for women have recently been debunked.
Recent studies have shown, for example, that there is no link between BHRT and an increased risk of cancer or heart disease.
BHRT is still the safest and most effective treatment currently available for not only the onset of headaches but the other debilitating symptoms of menopause such as hot flashes and night sweats.
Even if you are not experiencing any of those symptoms, if you are a woman between the ages of 35 and 55, BHRT can have you looking and feeling younger!
And the many benefits of hormone replacement therapy for women do not stop there. Many women on HRT have found that HRT therapy can increase libido, lessen vaginal dryness, and otherwise improve their sex lives!
What Every Woman Needs to Know Hormone Replacement Therapy and Menopause
Hormone replacement therapy is the most effective treatment option for relieving the typical symptoms of menopause. Estrogen replacement has been proven to minimize the most common and well-known signs of menopause, such as night sweats, hot flashes, and mood swings.
However, as women enter menopause, estrogen is not the only hormone level that drops. Menopausal women also experience a marked decline in testosterone and human growth hormone (HGH).
That is why our menopause treatment for women may be combined with other hormone replacement treatments such as testosterone therapy and HGH therapy.
At NuLife Institute, we realize that not all women going through menopause will experience the same set of symptoms, nor do you have to be in menopause to benefit from HRT.
We will tailor your hormone replacement program to your unique needs and lifestyle to maximize your benefits and optimize your results. Our medical director, Dr. Luis Dominguez, has used his unique, customized approach to help thousands of women reverse the clock on aging and enjoy a whole new lease on life.
